 This book is a generalized and improved compilation of published works of the author on the history of creation of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic’s (1918-1920) special security services. The author, who is a senior executive in the Ministry of National Security and a Candidate of historical sciences, uses unconcealed archive materials and documents about creation of intelligence and counter-intelligence units within Military ministry and Organization to combat counter-revolution for the first time. These explorations revealed that security services of Azerbaijan were created on March 28th, 1919 and that they were not firstly created during Soviet rule, as it was claimed during Soviet period of our history. This day is proclaimed as a professional holiday of security services’ employees by the decree of the president. The book is intended for broad reader masses interested in history of security services of the world and Azerbaijan’s history. It was published in 2004 in Azerbaijani, Russian and English.
