On may 07, on the occasion of 89th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, general-lieutenant Eldar Mahmudov and personnel staff of the Ministry of National Security visited the Alley of Honor, honored the memory and laid wreath on the tomb of great statesman – eternal and honorary leader of the Azerbaijan’s national security agencies, founder of nationalization process and professionalism school at this important state structure. 

Scientific-practical conference was held at the Heydar Aliyev Academy of the Ministry of National Security on the occasion of 89th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev - world-famous statesman, eternal and honorary leader of the Azerbaijan’s national security agencies. 

As reported earlier, the Ministry of National Security has recently rendered harmless the armed group that planned to commit provocative acts and terrorist attacks with the view of violating socio-political stability of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

As a result of operative actions taken by the Ministry of National Security members of group suspected in smuggling great number of fire arms, ammunitions and military equipments, as well as narcotic drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan were exposed and detained.

As a result of operational activities 17 members of an armed group who planned a series of sabotage and subversion and terrorist acts to disrupt social stability and creating panic among the population were arrested
