Intelligence officer, promoted to the military rank of army general and position of first deputy head of the USSR State Security Committee (KGB) during his 45 years (1945-1991) service in Soviet security agencies, Philip Bobkov in his book gives description of the complex relationships between the KGB and the Central Committee of Communist Party. Given excerpt (in Russian) of the part entitled “National problems” of book contains interesting details on initial periods of the Armenian-Azerbaijan conflict, about role of the Armenian intelligentsia in burning national hate in attitude to Azerbaijani people, about wrong approach of the Soviet leadership regarding to this problem. The book was published in 2003, in Russian language.
