Jafarov Faik Aligulu ogly was born on May 1, 1974, in Shilavanga village of Jalilabad district. In 1991 entered the Baku Machine-building College and after that, in September 1992 started his military service at the Nakhichevan Border Unit of the Head Department of the Border Forces. During his service at the Border Forces, especially distinguished for the protection of the south frontiers of Azerbaijan. In 1995 showing heroism preventing the attempt of coup d'etat, F. Jafarov was heavily wounded. By Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 427 of December 27, 1995, Jafarov Faik Aligulu ogly has been awarded the name of the National Hero of Azerbaijan. F. Jafarov died on August 19, 1999, in the car accident.

Ahmadov Riad Fikrat ogly was born on December 20, 1954 in Baku. Graduated from the Azerbaijan State University with honors diploma in 1979, the faculty of law. In 1976-1979 worked at the Judicial Examination Institute of the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan SSR as a laboratory assistant. In 1979-1980 he worked as a councilor at the Department of Preparation of the Law Drafts and Systematizing of Legislation of the same ministry, and as a senior councilor at the Personnel Department of the Ministry of Justice in 1980-1981. In 1981 beginning the activity in security bodies, in 1981-1982 R. Ahmadov studied at the Higher School of the State Security Committee (KGB) in Minsk. In 1984 he attended the courses of the Institute of KGB named after Y.V.Andropov. For faultless professional activity and achievements R. Ahmadov was commended several times, and also in 1988 has been awarded the Medal of Memory dedicated to the 70-th anniversary of the USSR Armed Forces. In 1992 R. Ahmadov was promoted to the post of the deputy head of the Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Special intelligence unit led by Riad Ahmadov in Nagorno-Karabakh has successfully accomplished different combat tasks, liberated several settlements from the occupation, and destroyed a lot of militants and military equipments of the opposite side. On January 25, 1992, R.Ahmadov, who distinguished with his personal courage in the battles for the liberation of Nagorno-Karabakh, was missed in the “Dashalti Operation”. By Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 833 of June 07, 1992, Ahmadov Riad Fikrat ogly has been awarded the name of the National Hero of Azerbaijan.

Aliyev Nadir Alish ogly was born on July 30, 1962, in Aliagali village of Agdam district. In 1977-1981 graduated from the Baku Polytechnic College. In 1986-1991 N.Aliyev studied at the Higher School of the State Security Committee (KGB) named after F.E. Dzerjinski, and in 1993 graduated from the Baku State University, faculty of law. As an employee of the Ministry of National Security, N. Aliyev from September till December of 1991 worked in the Mardakert (Agdara) District Sector and from 1992 as a senior operational officer at the Agdara District Sector of the Karabakh Department of the Ministry of National Security. In 1993 he was appointed to the post of senior operational officer in the Agdam District Sector of the Ministry of National Security. In a period of fierce battles for Agdara, N.Aliyev had asked to be sent to the front line. He was especially brave in fights in Syrkhavand village of Agdara in special troops of the Ministry of National Security, and died as a hero in battles for the Giyasli village of Agdam. By Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 218 of 09 October, 1994, Aliyev Nadir Alish ogly has been awarded the name of the National Hero of Azerbaijan.

Aliyev Amiraslan Rza ogly was born on August 30, 1960 in Nakhichevan. Graduated from the Nakhichevan State Pedagogical Institute, faculty of history-literature. In 1992 he was conscripted to the Border Troops of the Ministry of National Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In October, 1994 showing a personal heroism in prevention of the attempt of coup d'etat, A.Aliyev has died as a hero, in prevention of the following attempt of coup d'etat in 1995. By Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 307 of 04 April, 1995 Aliyev Amiraslan Rza ogly has been awarded the name of the National Hero of Azerbaijan. 12th Border Post of the Nakhichevan Border Unit of the State Border Service was named after Amiraslan Aliyev.

Mammadov Eldar Harun ogly was born on January 10, 1968 in Baku. After graduating from the military school named after Jamshid Nakhichevanski in 1985-1989, he studied at the Riga Higher Military Political School. In 1989-1991 he was in military service as an officer in Orenburg province of Russia. After returning to Azerbaijan, continued his military service first at the missile forces, and then at the Head Department of the Border Troops of the Ministry of National Security. E.Mammadov died as a hero on 24 February, 1993, during the battles in Agdere. By Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 247 of December 11, 1994, Mammadov Eldar Harun ogly has been awarded the name of the National Hero of Azerbaijan. 2nd Border Post of the Goytapa Border Unit of the Border Service was named after Eldar Mammadov.

 Mansurov Bahruz Gahraman ogly was born on March 13, 1975 in Telavar village of Yardimly district. In 1993 entered the frontier faculty of the Baku Higher Military Commanders School. B.Mansurov died as a hero in prevention of the attempt of the coup d’etat in March of 1995. By Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 307 of April 04, 1995, Mansurov Bahruz Gahraman ogly has been awarded the name of the National Hero of Azerbaijan. 16th Border Post of the Goytapa Border Unit of the State Border Service was named after Bahruz Mansurov.
