Minister of National Security of the Azerbaijan Republic major-general Eldar Mahmudov on an official invitation has been on a working visit in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and the Northern Ireland on December 20-23.

Minister Eldar Mahmudov has had a number of meetings with the top officials of special service of this country, discussed questions of development of cooperation in connection with security problems between two states.

The Minister also updated on the problems caused by the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorny Karabakh conflict, on the military aggression and terror-sabotage commitments Azerbaijan has undergone, as well as on resolute measures the Azerbaijan state and its special services undertake to combat against international terrorism.

The British representatives expressed satisfaction with the dynamic and efficient development of cooperation links between security bodies of two countries, highly assessed experience of the Azerbaijan republic in the field of fighting international terrorism.

The visit has passed in an atmosphere of friendly and mutual understanding and the sides expressed satisfaction with its results.
